    First bin !

ha, so riding around with Tristank looking for a good hill for me to do some hill starts on, nice and dark riding down a road and at the end was a nice gravel driveway, blam off i come within 5 seconds :P

luckily didnt get hurt, and bike is amazingly in the same condition, go the SR250! buggered the brake lever a bit but fixable !

    so ya, gravel sucks

Gravel and the dark don't mix! Remarkable that your bike wasn't even scratched? I'm happy it wasn't serious.

...and all it takes is for us to take our focus & concentration off these "evils" for a split-second and we're on the tarmac - eh JSG!

So tell me John, how many years did you not wear gloves? How many bins without them?? Personally I've 'always' worn gloves, one of those common sensical things! <--see his gloves?

Well I wore them most of the time esp in MX days, just when my gloves were to big for me I had about 4 bins(? or 3) and it sucks, its a good way to maul and rip apart your hands, I only didnt wear them for about 3 months because I couldnt afford to get a new small pair, so my rule is no gloves no ride.

Just dont do it gloves are up there with helmets in safety

I crashed in gravel on my first day on a bike,I crashed in the same place on the second day - I have well and truly conquered my enemy and gravel is now my best friend.

I wonder if this first experiance set me on a course to master gravel? I used to always look at my riding and say...what am I having problems with, what scares me? Then I would concentrate on that area.

Anyway....you got past that one ok....have fun tomorrow, and go at your own pace.
