    Drive-through on bike - acceptable?

My addiction to kfc and maccas + me being a lazy bitch = I have been riding the drive through since I started riding. I don't hold anyone behind me up (have a tank bag so don't have to mess around with a backpack), flip helmet up and yell so staff can hear me, have cash etc in my pocket in advance so not fumbling with gloves, am all prepared, so I figure, why not??? Get the drink in a can so I can go the full combo (ultimate combo if I'm super hungry). Have even gotten a sundae (and got that motherfucker home in one piece, I am AWESOME, drive through man owes me $10 cept I can't prove I got it home because...well obviously...I ate it).

But anyway, I always feel funny doing it. Like I'm doing something slightly naughty. And I've never seen any other bikes riding through, ever. Does anyone else do it?

And for those nutgoblins who are about to crack out a version of "KFC/McD's at any time is unacceptable" - you are a dirty hippie and your opinion means nothing so don't even bother.

I don't know. I just feel a little odd doing it.

Maybe I just subconsciously wanted to tell that story about the sundae.

KFC is unacceptable at any time. McD's can be passable at times. Just seeing the sort of people that eat at KFC puts me off! Haven't actually felt the urge to go through drive through yet. As i don't have a flip up helmet i doubt they would be able to hear me. I have heard some stories of people being denied service at drive thrus on bikes.

I've got a semi-funny story about KFC. My faltmates and I got it one evening and one of my mates found a god-awful cyst looking thing in his chicken...... none of us could work out what it was but its was absolutely disgusting. It looked like some kind of tumor that had been growing on the chicken or something. Grossed us out so bad we chucked the rest of it away and vowed never to eat that shit ever again........... following week, "Lets get KFC for dinner!".

Should do a group "drive through" ride... that'd be interesting.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I used to live next to mc d's and they were only drive through after 12. I went through a couple of times after coming home from town, everyone inside found it hilarious. Ahhh good times. But if I didn't live 10m from Mc D's there's no way I'd do it!
