    STREETFIGTHERS - whos got one?

    Hey all,
just wondering who on here has a streetfighter or a customised 'bandit'. Im more interested in seeing what people have done to customise their own bikes rather than getting a cool looking one from the shop.

Also i wanna see YOUR bike, not the stuff available all round the net.

I'm getting a rather healthy paycheck this week so my ZXR should be fire breathing soon. I painted it matt black the other day and it looks the shit, now i just gotta sand it all down and get it done professionally!!!

I wish I had the money so I could do some proper modifications to my CBR. At the moment, I'm barely paying for all it's repairs

This is what I want to get for it, the front fairing off a 2000 ZX6R

So damned aggresive looking, I want it!

i've found a front fairing i want. Gotta get it from the UK tho. I'm thinking of getting my nanna to bring it over but shes already on her way here so it'll have to wait til next time

i was thinking i could always copy it and make it myself but im having trouble finding a cheapish set of projector lights, you know like the single small lights on the Ducatti 999 etc.

i know it looks so f*cken awesome. When i saw it i went out in the garage and disassembled my light setup just to imagine it being there (yes i know im wierd )

The old man just came and in and asked why i need that for... apparently my income isnt for making my bike look 'cool'

i've had my risers i made chopped and drilled by the nice guys at the RNZAF machine section, hobsonville air base, fit snugly round the steel MX bars i got for $10.

I went to sort out mounting them and fount that the my top clamp is hollow beneath and is totally crap for mounting the risers so it looks like im gonna have to make a new top set aswell (solid alluminium block)

Im gonna paint the bars (not sure what colour yet but possibly matt black ) and then organise some extra-long cables etc, at first i thought the originals would be sweet but i have since found that the choke atleast is way too short - yet to check the throttle, clutch and electrics.

The other problem i have had is that the front electrical loom is all intertwined and everything goes back through a single earth - which makes it kinda difficult to install a new front fairing without a serious amount of playing and fiddling.

oh well its gonna look mean at the end of the day or is the "phat"

im in auckland. Theres a guy in auckland setting up a business as an NZ portal for streetfightering but at the moment it seems like his services are a bit sparse and a tad expensive.

check www.streetstyles.co.nz the site has looked the same for the last 4-5mths but he does reply quite swiftly to emails

Good idea about checking out the cables.
Last thing you want is the throttle opening when tipping it into a corner

i gotta go to hamilton in the next few weeks to see the missus so i might take the opportunity to take a look. Where abouts are they? they got a website or anything?

The airforce guys are real sweet, its all computer controlled and im pretty sure that they can duplicate anything i give them. And its done at the all time price of 6 bottles of the mans favourite beer... service at a good priec
