Upgraded to an 01 CR125 last week from a drz125L 4 stroke. Was riding it this morning - really enjoying the handling - it is such an easy bike to ride

then i discovered the power band ... need i say more

it just bites, stands and shoots off like a cut cat - its bloody awesome :-)

Yeah fun right up to the point where the arm pump gets too much, you hit a big rut that tries to spit you off and in effort to hold on to the bars, you accidentally crack the throttle just enough to find the powerband and suddenly you become personally aquainted with a nearby tree.

Actually it is fun... and addictive... much like heroin, I imagine.

A learner lady friend down the road bought a KR150A road bike and carefully rode it around everywhere without revving it over 5k.. Eventually it fouled up so I cleared the foul and told her to get it into 2nd gear and boot it hard it right out to 10k. She was all worried about hurting it, but did it anyway. The resulting grin nearly split her helmet in two.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
