    Insurance help please......

    Hello everyone,

I'm new here so please be gentle.

Bikes fresh out the container, some shipping probs but getting sorted. I've had a couple of quotes for insurance but does anyone have any recommendations please?

Mine's a CB500S and OH's is a Transalp. We are on our Uk licences 'til after christmas and both have withdrawal symptoms.

    Thanks

Swan Insurance (or is that Swann??) Either way, they've been the cheapest for us so far.

In fact, NZI who hold all of our household and car insurance won't even insure anything over 250!

One thing I didn't realise till this morning was that some insurance companies increase your excess by $500 if you're on a UK license... but they don't charge you any different... oh no!

yeap i rang swann and they fowarded me to kiwibiker, the papers came and they had "protecta" on them.

$258 annual $500 excess to insure the vtz for $1000 (cheaper than 3rd party im told)

p.s. ring in the morning (about 10am?) or you'll get an answerphone (i did anyway)

p.p.s hope to see you out in welly and i hope you come to the next TRNTR ride (thurs night welly riders, we usually meet at the bottom of manguraki)

National auto club did me 3rd party on my zxr 750 for only $150 annual. $750 excess. And I'm 21 years with my fair share of demerit points. Cheaper than I thought.

National Auto Club in Whangarei, They've got a comprehensive policy and they've consistanyly provided me the cheapest insurance on my last three bikes. NAC $800 annual on my K6 Gixxer insured at 23 grand. Protecta was $1200.
