    Comfy Japanese pillion seats

My wife was recently in Japan, and while wandering around in Himeji she found a group of bikers on their custom steeds. As she knew how fond I am of bikes, she took a few pictures.
The paint jobs on these bikes are awesome, but what really blows my mind are the banana seats.

The bars on the 3rd bike crack me up! Definitely some really nice custom efforts there, though none of them appeal to me.

I did notice all the open face lids though....

They look like the old King & Queen seats on the 70's choppers.

I'm trying to figure out why the yellow CBX in the 4th pic has a muffler on the handlebars...???

I think its actally a drink bottle customised to look like a muffler, if you look at the third pic, the bike behing the kawasaki has a drink holder mounted in exactly the same spot.

    Here is a closeup.

Japanese bososoku ( sp) the nearest thing we have to a bike gang , they ride around looking tough making a shit load of noise on those machines ,,,hence 2 strokes , and the cbx
The style is called Japanese wild style , and goes over into cars and trucks as well trnded to be used by japanese Yankees ( yes they use that term to describe a group of people who are outside the mainstream)

I drink in a Yakusa pub sometimes and the fellas are quite nice , but the boss drives a new Bentley with blacked out windows and what he say DOES go ... you say yes sir no sir ,
Nothing like the booffheads you get in NZ

What's the point of having those nice pillion seats if they don't use it to carry pillions?! I can only see one bike with a pillion, and maybe a couple more that might be carrying pillions... where are all the Japanese chicks?!
