I have a V Strom 1000, long time since I have done any off road riding, have been up to the dams behind Shannon in a car, would it be worthwhile seeing how I go on your ride, or not?
YES IT WOULD, i would have been there on ktm 950, but its still in bits in the workshop for a service..

Well if any of you riders wish to to pick up a FREE Mitas EO 7 130/80/17 Done less than 2500k's when you are up in Shannon give me a PM
I have a Perilli Scorpion MT 90 as well FREE 110/80/19 Half worn
You are more than welcome to tag along - we all ride at our own pace and normally just regroup at interesections etc.
Just be aware that in addition to riding up to the dams I was planning on exploring a side track which I hope leads towards Tokimaru - last time I tried it was a struggle on the klr as it got pretty lumpy.
cheers
Mark
Ok see you there.
Will bring the camera as well as I have a friend in OZ with a KLR so a pic of yours would be good, if you are bringing it.
bugger that sounds just the sort of thing i would be keen..the ol PD has developed a total loss electrical sytem today tho...
Home now. Great ride, though a little hot. Hope the Red Mermaid made it out alive.
Yep, Im back alive thanks.
Thanks for the ride as well. I enjoyed it until that little hill hit my footpeg.
Is it doable on a motard? and how long there and back? I started going up the other week, but realised I was running out of light and thought best to turn back
All of this, all of this can be yours, Just give me what I want and no one gets hurt
any ride report mark..............or do we have to go over the ADV to read and view the photos.......................

The surface gets a bit lumpier but less slipoery the further you go in - I think its about 20km to the end. the XT660X would be fine. Its a good ride
will post some photos on adv rider tonight (including some of me doing an "Eddie" in the mud)
