THIS is where our ACC money goes.

Today 4.45 pm on henderson Valley road (busy road) I'm strolling back to the yard.I hear a big four stroke trailee heading my way. MX lid, shorts,MX gloves and a fred dagg shirt on. -In defference to "safety" hes wearing knee armour. The bikes a late model trailonly honda--no tail/headlight
Just past me the bars get a tug and the throttle gets the big twist. Bike comes up --and up and over--and OUT skating down the road upside down --rider sliding on his back.
The black shirt has turned to a red shirt. Dunno what the guy was on because he leapt up and ran back to the bike dripping red goop. Kicked it into life and dissapeared back the way he came. The way/place he crashed had traffic both ways stopped.
Yep folks these are the guys our ACC levvies pay for--GREAT INNIT??

With no taillight or headlight it would not be road legal, therefore probably unregistered too. But goes down as a m/c accident on a public road..

Not unheard of round here, Frosty, unfortunately.

There's a couple of clowns who ride litte "chopper" bikes down the road with no lids, no lights down our end of the road.....

Only if he actually goes to a Doctor, then chances are he will say he was out trail rinding so it will go down as "A place of recreation"

Yeah but people like this will do stupid stuff anywhere. If we start refusing ACC to people based on whether we approve of their actions we run the risk of going down a dark, dark alley.

If the price to pay for having a comprehensive, no faulty accident compensation cover is that I have to put up with paying for a few oxygen stealing halfwits who can't look after themselves I can live with that.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

ACC is the best FREE to all private health service in the world!

FREE best qulaity care to anyone from high powered business executives down to complete numpties.

If you think all deserve such high priority no expense spared care; then pay for it and stop moaning.

Hope the little tosser is OK and has learnt something from this adventure.

Yep we have a few Oxygen theives down here who think, like that, the trouble is if he didn't get up and fuck off, some well meaning cager would have rung for a Meat wagon, though it would have given you the opertunity to apply a broken leg to his moronic missery, in helping get the bike off him, of course.

I crashed while racing at Ruapuna in Dec, it was listed as a Motorcycle Accident, "at a place of recreation" by my GP as I askd him how it was recorded as it was just after the whole ACC thing started

Two different areas on the form, one for what type of accident, one for where it happened

He did also say that Doctors hate filling out forms and will take shortcuts if it suits them

Well no one has ever been able to answer (that I've seen) if that is correct, and whether all motorcycle accidents are lumped together or the onroad is split out from "other places" for the statistics

I was speaking with Clivoris after his accident - when racing ... and it was easily recorded properly as a sporting injury.
