    Tend to agree with GaZBur on the electric start... I'm 5'8" too have had DRZ400SM for couple of years and find seat height fine - I'm a heavy **** though

    Tryin' to kick over a tall KXF250 that doesn't want to start is a different story...

    Yeah I bet kick start would be a biatch.
    Had a sit on a DR-Z 400 SM the other night, seemed OK but I commute in traffic and the CBD so the more foot I can get down the better, maybe I'll just have to use it on the weekends haha

    Have you considered a lowering kit? They are readily available for the DRZ400SM as there are lots of people in your position.

    Have considered it but haven't gone any further than that. Do you know off hand how much it would bring the seat down by?

    is one lowering kit I've spied. Claims to reduce it by 40mm, which isn't too bad I guess.
