in your thred about a rear rack i offered you some stuff i had left over from my klx300 days but i guess you never checked it, a manual is your best bet, i could hook you up if you wish, oh and by the way 10 40, 10 50, 20 40, 20 50, super cheap has castrol bike specific oil for around $13 a litre and for a change you need 1.5 l

Just use a good quality oil (think it's 1.4 litres stamped on case?), I used to change every 10-15 hrs on my 300. Really depends on hard your using it.

Normally change oil filter every second oil change. Lie the bike flat on it's side to change the filter, this helps to keep filter in right position when putting cover back on. Take note, don't put filter in back to front and don't forget to put the spring behind the filter back on. I used to fill up oil filter chamber with oil before putting cover back on as well. Figured it might help to get oil up to top end quickly when re-starting.

    Don't overtighten the drain plug.
