prefer to ride alone mostly. But am coming to value the company of a small group of riders that can chat once we reach the destinatio. and its always nice to have shared experiences with others. Builds a community

yea 1 or 2 is good up to 5 or so as long as you know them and there is trust.......

I am one of those too....
Okay, good to have the Lady on the back, or on her bike (when ever we get her another).

The reason i like to ride by myself, is the total selfishness that I want to ride my ride, and only worry about ME (and the other road users).
Don't have to worry if there is something "going on" in the group that i have to worry about.

I do the Coast to Coast, and other regular group rides, but these aren't my favourite times on the bike.

I used to ride in groups when I was younger and starting out, tend to ride mostly 99.9% alone, with the exception of very close friends on occasional rides
