Over 7 months later the nsr is finished

Well almost I still need new cans, attach the headlight visor and do touchups but atleast its rideable.

It may have been a nightmare but it was a good learning experance none the less, with a burnt out loom, cheap quality fiberglass and numourious setbacks im still very happy with the end result.

This could not of been done with out the help and support from the boys at poppas panel and paint, Poppa is the best painter Ive seen and it shows in his work, too bad my prep work wasnt 100% this unfortunitly degrades the final finish, and if you kno what Im talking about the paint job can only be as good as the prep.

The colours used are as follow: The frame was painted with a black 2k acrylic lacquer, rims 2k cobra gloss black and the fairings/odds nd ends are cobra 2k flame red this is a factory nissan colour.

The battery is currently on charge as the indicators will not flash from the bikes power source alone, if the battery is not flogged it will be set for a wof tomoro will be taking it to honda hamilton.

Has definitly been a labour of love or I would have given up months ago and im glad I didnt as bikeing is an awsome experance that I dont see myself ever getting out of.

Any comments welcome I will upload some decient pics later on at the moment you will have to bear with me guys.

Yes better photos are definitly a must I will get onto it asap, thanks I think so too but it would be even better if they were not fiberglass replicas that dont fit propally.

Just got the bike back home from a wof (ended up pushing it alot) one of the powervalve units came loose on the ride there causing the plugs to foul up making it almost un rideable, the bike did fail a wof but its an easy fix, basicly it needs a chain guide, rear reflector, muffler brackets and the headlight alligned so I will have a crack at the majority of the work tonight and tomoro will just have to keep an eye out for a cheap chain gaurd.

Just finished adjusting the powervalves and cleaning the plugs, the bike started reli good on both cylinders but then as I got out on the road it began to play up again, only the bottom cylinder will run at idle, the top cylinder wont run untill the bike is under load at 5k+ and it still isnt blowing as much smoke as the bottom cylinder.

Im stuck looks like itll stay off the road a little longer

Assuming the ignitor box and coils are ok, it would suggest that you have a problem with the carbs flooding, sometimes a flooding carb does not represent itself as fuel coming out the carb overflow, and instead it simply fills the cylinder with fuel.

I would suspect that as the plugs are fouling.

I ended up taking out the top plug again and it didnt seem to bad not dirty but a little bit wet, ive gone through the loom again making up some better earthing points as I have a feeling that its a week spark for that cylinder

Ok I missed a quite obvious problem one of the ignition coils have packed up, tho redoing my earthing points did help with spark.
