Help - battery flat (Lower Hutt) (21 Feb)

Is anybody on here in the region of Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt with the knowledge or ability to jump start a Bike (Boulevard C50) my battery is flat. Can it be jumped from a car? Geez, I dont even know where the dam batttery is. Frantic search going on for the manual now...

I have jumped my bike from a car with no issues. So really don't see why not.

I had a couple of memorable jumps in Stokes Valley back in 1950's!

Have you got it sorted?
Have you got a car you can jump from?
Do you have jumper leads?
In Wainui so not right next door but willing to come over and lend a hand if all else fails.

If you got it started, you will need to figure out why the battery went flat. Do you leave something on? Or is there a fault with the bike or battery?

"Don't know where the battery is?" I don't want to be a smart arse - but - the bike has a manual?, google is your friend and a lot more useful than KB. Google "suzuki boulevard c50 battery" and there lies the answer.

If you are an AA member they will jumpstart it.

Got it sorted, Thanks cloggy for your kind offer to help... located the manual after a frustratingly long search - battery is under the seat

I did try google and there the answer did not lie - battery went flat cos I left the ignition on (and therefore the lights) while having a long chat with an old friend I bumped in to.

Now... back to riding

If the battery went flat enough to not start the bike, I recommend that you use a charger to get it properly back up to full power. Just running the bike may not be enough.

Nope, you can't push start an EFI bike w/ flat battery. The battery is needed to initialize the ECU and prime the fuel pump / pressurise the fuel lines.

Not only that, but the charging circuit gets one hell of a time.....
Might be alright on a C50 though.... Will wait for the "My Battery is not charging/ boiling over" thread in the future.....

The best thing to do it charge the battery.

The other night I forgot I left my key on to save turning on the garage lights.... walked away and closed the door.
Guess what... Had to drive to work the next day! Come home and charged the battery, no problems.

Bet you I would have 3 problems right now if I bump started my bike (CBR 600 F2).
