    Smile

    Why:

The enjoyment of riding (which only a bike rider knows)
Economics: cheaper to register and uses less fuel

I use the bike for work all the time, I'm not a fair weather rider, and I find it isn't a problem on the really wet days. I am no hero in the wet, the bike stays upright as much as possible.

I just love the freedom, and the feeling of being alone with my bike and "getting it right"... Pure joy....
Juan, you are one lucky son of a gun. Great bike and living in TT heaven. I bet you look forward to June each year.
The place seems pretty dead when everyone leaves though.
I have stayed in (where else) Douglas.

    Face it..
    cars are boring,
    require little or no skill
    give no real pleasure
    a pain to park
    have too many wheels
bloody expensive if you want a fast one.
    keep getting stuck in traffic
even though you sit in a car, you don't feel it is part of you.

Because it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Riding is so much fun it's a wonder it's not illegal. Hop on a bike and within minutes all your worries have faded and all that matters is the next corner and the rush that only being on a bike (or in a rally car!) gives you.

I also like the fact that not every woman rides so there is that slightly cool feeling when you take your helmet off and people realise you're a chick and not just some short bloke!

When we got married recently people asked my husband if he'd still be allowed to ride or would I make him stop. As if, we both love bikes and I bought my new bike on our honeymoon so I think his collection is pretty safe!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

    Cause:

    - It's FUN/Exciting/gives you a good rush or a buzz etc.
    - It's A huge challenge, but progress is most satisfying.
    - It brings people together who share a common hobby/interest/passion.
    - It makes me feel special.

Are you sure a bike is cheaper to register? I pay litle over $100 for the car and about $130 for the bike

Anyways I ride because i like it, and it is cheaper than using the car. But since i got all the gear and the bike less than 2 months ago im still not seeing much benefits in the money saving department
the zxr is not realy faster than the car as far as i can tell but it is more fun and less costly to mess around on. eg. replace the bridgestones on the car 4x $289, no burnouts for me

I love riding my bike because, I love riding my bike.

Other motorcyclists wave to you (sometimes).

There's always parking at the destination, and it's free too.

    A sense of freedom.

    Offers outstanding stress relief therapy.

    Bike sounds are music.

Getting to destination is always thrilling and fun.

Riding all year round in all weather - bit scary with snow or ice on the road. Careful, steady now. Glad I don't have much power to burn on those days. Haven't dropped it.

    What I don't like:

Hearing cage tyres skid extremely close behind. Duh!, why can't they spot that cage filled traffic queue I'm slowly down for!? (nearly got rear ended two days ago).

All cage drivers assume bike = speedster. Stop tailgating me!

Far from being mindless drivel it's a good question!

Number one for me would be enjoyment! Major benefits like saving time and gas money come a distant second!
