Question Has anyone seen this bike?

Has anyone seen this bike at Turners Car Auctions?
    Have you bought the bike?
    Can i have the exhaust?

    That is all

I was hoping to snag the exhaust before State insurance sent it away for sale ":S I LOVED the way the exhaust sounded and i really want to keep it / put it on my new CBR

Shoulda removed it before you gave it to em. This is why you should always have your shit towed home first then have insurance pick it up.

Headons don't interest me at all

Probably not in a fit state after the crash to make decisions about where the bike should go.

Hope all is fully healed and well done on locating the bike.

It must have been quite a challenge!

Well they do me, there should be no reason for a head on, it happens all to much due to dick heads riding beyond there ability on bikes they should not be on, cutting corners, going wide, passing blind and infront of oncomming traffic. And I have to pay higher rego's cos of it.
More importantly my interest is, how we reduce the alarming amount of headons... after all it ONLY happens cos someone is on the wrong side of the center line.

Hey. It wasn't technically a head on as i hit the cage square on its drivers corner.
Had lost control prior to the corner (found myself in a pretty fucked up situation, much like a tankslapper) and plowed a straight line thru the corner hitting the guy coming towards me in the other lane.

Not the best day of my life....

    What have I learnt?

    'Try harder next time' :P

But seriously, I made several mistakes in my COLOSSAL cock-up:
*1 Prior to that corner on Centaurus rd, i pumped up my front Tyre a bit, forgetting how inaccurate servo station gauges can be
*2 Braking into a corner while leaning
*3 Gear changing whilst in mid corner entry - Should have been in the right gear prior. Preferably not first gear...
*4 Looked at the corner, Not thru it
*5 I think i panicked too. Not sure. Didn't have time to do much.
*6 First thing I did was stand up after rolling away and took my helmet and gloves off... Could have paralyzed myself...

    A couple of pro's

*1 I had relaxed prior to hitting the cage, But due to the impact bending both front disks the bike was thrown violently over left with my leg still down the side of it. Passenger.
*2 I did at least check if the other guy was okay. Shaken, but not stirred like i was.

Best thing is: I've learnt. I'm paying for it because i miss that bike SO much. it was GREAT. it had full stainless steel headers/extractors too :*(
Due to having the bike on a loan and as a registered security asset, i didn't have to pay the rest of the loan the State INS didn't cover. Auto Equity insurance and GAP (Guaranteed asset protection) insurance for the win

And that's that really. On a nice CBR again now. Not looking back with regret, just movin' on
