To the Harley rider on Owairaka Rd on Saturday ...

I heard that lovely rumble of two wheels while pushing a pram and completely ignored the AC Cobra thundering past to watch you. And against all odds, as you were coming by, I nodded and you ... you nodded back. Made my day man and put me back on two wheels on what must have been one of the loveliest days for a ride in a long time. Thanks!

Unfortunately every silver lining has a dark cloud, because the next day while walking the baby some fuckwit on a Gixxer came past there doing 100+ around a blind bend, no gear on his pillion except for a helmet and he had to flick upright and just about into oncoming traffic to avoid the car he couldn't see as he was screaming around the corner.

Mad skills dude to avoid what would have been a messy accident, but it's a Sunday morning and that park is filled with kids that frequently run across the road. Including mine. Don't mind you driving like a dick, but please don't do it where I live. Pick somewhere quiet and far away where you won't take other people with you.

I'm with you. "Drive" is something a non biker says, and it sounds daft.

Indeed it is and indeed he can and we can all comment as we like too

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

A Harley rider waves and you pick on that? Mate, it's like history has been made 'Sides, I'm used to calling cagers dicks on the road, not bikers. So the word-memory stuck and it came out as "drive". Apologies.

The AC Cobra would have kept my attention.

Great to hear that Hardley riders can wave.

As for the guy taking a bend too fast and managing to avoid Pizza topping all around, hopefully his soon to come accident will be away from others.

Yes we do ride bikes and we do drive cars. But as the verb goes we do also drive our bikes. We drive them in the riding position and use a considerable amount more of driving effort than car drivers do.

Keep that pram on the kerb until you are sure "Mr Accident waiting to happen" is nowhere near.

That'll teach me to post at 5am. He nodded. He did not wave. Although a nod is as good as a wave, I believe they say. Or maybe not. It's too frigging early for this. So the correction is noted just-in-case mattian's sphincter tightens again at my gross misconduct

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter a rats arse! The harley guy nodded back and it encouraged him to jump on his bike and go for a ride - good one
