and what do you suggest we 'do' about it?

Isnt that what polli's intend with the laws they pass? Trying to 'do' something about a problem?

Speak up and say how we feel about it.

Start a campaign of sorts - "thumbs down to bad policing". Take relevant examples from recent media attention (there are some really good examples), and say "Cops! this is a problem - your work buddies are ruining your industry and bleeding away the respect you struggle to create."

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

We all agree that poor examples of policing (and police officers) should not be on our roads, just as we agree that poor examples of driving (and drivers) should not be on our roads.

What if we collectively do something about it?

I think you should punch the next cop you see, you know as a protest.

Yes Ive heard that is effective.
Problem with grumbling is that it tends to become a game of chinese whispers, speak up and speak clearly. DB is correct, there have been occasions when the boys in blue have let down their side badly...bit like bikers really, only takes the 1% to foul things up for the rest of us.
