Planning to visit for our honeymoon.

Could do Sth Island,head to Wellington on bike,then grab the ferry to Picton and do Sth Island by car/camper,you can do a quick tour of South Island in 4-5 days but then come back in the summer and do both islands and take your time,whatever you do enjoy.

I really wanted to do south island but you guys are right it will probably be too cold. So for the north island I read that the east side is the better side for riding. Should we go down and back up the east side or do a full circle and go down the east side and the west side?

Suggestions on the best place to fly into and where to rent from?
