The STeed's speedo is out by 2% (reads low). I have a hand-held GPS if anybody wants to calibrate their speedos...

bloody trailer was here the other day... for about an hour.... friggin useless barstards moved it before I could go home and get the bike...
and i've got great doubts about my speedo after not noticing a cop on the hutt mway and riding passed at 120 and him not doin nuthin.....

Tried one of those digital speed things, rode towards it flat out in 3rd gear and only got 58 kph - but then I looked back and saw a logging truck cruising behind me!! (the device often 'targets' the largest object)

Sorry to tell you this, it was reading your speed.

There was one of those down my street last night.
We didnt have our bikes, as we were heading to the pub.

But I did have my running shoes!
Got 22km past it. (keep in mind that my belly was full of beer!)

I'm still trying to locate one when I've got the bike... partner told me about one the other day, but 20mins later when I got there it was gone... gutted.

As for Blakamin's theory on speedo error - I tootled past a cop at 220 a few weeks back, and he didn't do anything either. He put his lights on and turned around. But since he never stopped me I guess my bike speedo must be reading 110% fast and he was on his way to another callout.
