Side rib protection - any ideas?

For the second time in 3 months I'm out with cracked ribs
I obviously have no falling skills (and probably riding skills too) and keep landing on my side when I come off. Every mx chest protector I've seen has no padding/protection down the side of the ribs.

Has anyone seen a protector or pressure suit with side rib protection?
The karting guys have things like this: http://www.flamecrusher.com/cs/prodV...p?idproduct=61 which I'm seriously considering!

    Cheers, Matt

I use a 661 pressure suit and that helps but I still managed to crack a few ribs last year, just strap them up and keep riding, it only hurts if you land on them (again).

Edit: Learn to fall differently, I have always tended to tuck a shoulder and roll rather than face plant and that seems to minimise the injuries........it would be easier if I didn't crash as much, but I haven't found the cure for incompetency so far.

Yea - most of my falls are simply having the bike slip out on a slippery corner and I go down sideways (and I seem to put my arm up to protect face).
I must have slow reactions, cause the first thing I know about the fall is when I'm already on the ground!

I think I'll give the kart rib protectors a go, but it's just another thing to put on each time :-/
