Sold the Triumph Sprint today and bought a Kawasaki Vulcan (Sorts bike to cruiser).

I had just about given up on bikes due to sore hands/wrists while riding the sports bike. Only had done a couple of hundred K in the last 6 months due to the problem.

So have now offically joined the ranks of the old men bikers.

Um actually senility appears to have crept in. (sorry) But a Sprint is in no way a 'Sportsbike' I mean it's almost upright. Have you seen a decent Chiro? I suspect the 'problem' is in your back.

Congratulations! Thats great news Hope this means you will be out and about without the pain bit! I am thinking of changing to a cruiser (or sorts) as well

Officially it is a sport bike. Commonly referred to as an old mans sport bike or a young mans tourer.

I have gradually moved to the cruiser over GSR1100 --> GS1200ss --> Sprint --> Vulcan. It was inevitable I suppose as I have a f**ked neck

Um you should be sorry - yer wrong :-P if we're talking ST, they don't have a lot more leg room than a sprotsbike if you are more than average height - not that much different for wrist work either.

Handlebars were re-raised 2008 model. Prior to the ST incarnations 955i and 885cc they were more touring ergos.

The bloke that did the Vulcan test in Kiwi Rider is a genius and he rated the bike competent and comfortable.

stuffed wrists and hands dont go away. Ive had them for years now. Can still ride a cruiser tho. The alternative is a scoot, and Im not quite ready for that just yet. But those spyda things are kinda cool.

They shouldn't *be* for anyone who isn't a track enthusiast.
They are the least suitable bike type for the unreliable state of NZ road surfaces, conditions and Policing.

That should stir things up a bit.

Mine did. It took nearly two years and 25,000km but I beat them. I was fucken gunna beat it no matter what tho.

i did abour 2500 km on 1 early last year, grinning/giggling head off every time i was on it, and frikkn quick too!

keeps up with sports bikes over the 'takas too coz ya can brake sooo late, turn in wrong. have the inside wheel 6inches in the air and full gas out lighting the tail up

topped it out at 188km/h round manfield too....freakn hilarious!
