    Fuck that sucks!

So that's two dirtbikes from Wellington in the last week? Seriously if I find anyone with one of these bikes I'm gonna lose it!

Will definitely keep an eye out.

Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

What's is weird is that the recent thefts are all of dirtbikes.

I noticed on Sunday, while riding along on my bike from the takas, of how obvious the dirtbikes are on the back of trucks. It is pretty easy for thieves to follow you home and record your address. Then come midweek you are obviously not going to be taking the dirtbike to work so it makes it pretty easy for them to take the bikes when you are not around.

If I was towing a dirtbike around I would look out for any cars tailing me to my house. Just saying this as I can't see random thieves picking random houses and ending up stealing two dirtbikes in one week, in Wellington. Otherwise, if I was towing a dirtbike, I would start covering it up, at least with a fixed tarpauline to stop it being so "on show" on the back of the van.

Yea man, had a few done up cars and learn't not to let any car follow you home. I would do a lap around the block to loose anyone that was following...

van + tinted windows is the most secure way to transport a bike - i know this doesnt help find the bike, but it does help keep this thread at the top of the page

Sorry, cant say i have seen the bike in Question, but the house mentioned in regards to the Suzy theft, moved a Turbo Mitsi or nissan motor by mainfreight today, forklift and all packaged on a pallet.

good luck, at least I am likely to see it being in upper hutt myself, and I ride my pushbike everywhere, including the river trails etc.
