Urgent help needed re VFR 800

We are in Whitianga and 1 of the guys with us has a reg/rec problem. Its actually stopped charging, Does any one know of someone with the knowledge or a part that may do, perhaps swap it out of their bike in exchange for a new one x japan in a few days phone numbers to try are 027 698 0057 or 022 479 1100. We are heading back to Christchurch and this is an unplanned stop
