I seem to remember a "jump off" competition in there between my DR650 and an africa twin about 6 months ago... so big bike friendly? s'pose it depends on how friendly you are to your big bike!!!
Agree 100% with Gav, i have been down odlins rd a number of times on a klr650 and loved every minute of it, not for beginers but a medium skilled rider shouldnt have to many problems and a good set of dirt tyres helps, great veiws in places and a hut to stop off and have a bit to eat turn around and rip it up back up the hill great fun day out. Recomended
Hey joe, I wenty up odlins on Sunday as far as the hut, one of my companions was on a 950 (with a pretty second hand TCK80) on the back) - got there no worries and only a minor bobble in one place. Even I stayed upright most of the way. Wouldn't say it was *easy-peasy* but satisfying to get there and back. I'd post a photo if this shitty computer would let me connect the camera
Edit - different shitty computer now behaving
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Will definitely join in. Probably will come through the Akatarawa's and meet you lot at the bottom of the Mangatuks. When you say meet in Paraparaumu, where in Paraparaumu are you going to meet?

Oooooh same colour as mine. Is he local Pete? If he is I wouldn't mind making contact to check out some stuff on his bike and see if/how it may differ from mine.

Yes, local, lives in Whitby. Not sure if he is on KB or not but will be at the CCA. Name is Alistair.
Bike was bought new, get well used on and off road, about 40,000 km on it I think
