Sorry mate, if it's for looks I can't vote any of them. As far as I'm concerned, both of them are pig-ugly. I just can't stand the front - it looks like somebody broke their noses. And the neon-green the kawi's are painted these days is terrible. I own a ZXR miself but it's an older generation, when Kawasaki still remembered what style and design meant and the kawasaki green didn't look like an alien fluorescent bug had just vomited all over your bike.

At least Kawaski stay away from those homo splash graphic colour schemes that Telescum won't even put on the cover of a phone book.

I must admit.. if I lined the zx9r up against the late model zx10s for looks.. the 9 would so win! I just dont have as good a taste as everyone else I guess!

I never liked the dual headlights on anything for a start

voted '10...its a new kind of ugly. They do look better with that huge pipe and rear plastic removed.

Tempted to go for the 06 but by all accounts the 10 fixed a lot of quibbles. Much better handling and brakes that worked.

I loved my 06 though. It was the most comfortable bike I'd had. Better than a mates 06 Blade and definately better than the 06 R1. Just fitted me. I gutted the pipes, chopped 2" off, sounded awesome. Not loud, just deep. Compared to the Blade and R1, the motor was a monster. Granted, the Blade had more torque lower down but it couldn't touch it in the higher revs. Awesome wind protection too.

If you have the coin, go the new route. At least then you know how it's been treated and run in etc. The 06 will be a good buy too. I'm split 50/50 on looks...

Oh yes. I read a while back, even though there was supposedly no difference between the 08 and 09, the 09 handled better. Superbike mag if memory serves. Assumptions being what they are, the 10 would be similar to the 09. Oh and, the '10 beat the R1 in Masterbike... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

PS: I know of a set of ZX14 calipers and pads which would be a start for sorting the 06 brakes... If you decide to go that route.

I voted for the 10, but some of that is I think the 2010 is a better bike, for looks they are both have funny looks so to speak of, but the 06 has a very nice end with the high cans showing off it's sexy swing arm and wheels. The 10 has a massive can that is just ugly. Over all the bike in AFC is a bloody good buy so that is what I would go for if I could ever get over the green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZX10 2010 is far superior, sharp clean crispy modern, looks like it would rip your balls off standing still.. swap out the oem exhaust and tail tidy and your set.
Huge improvements in every aspect mechanically and asthetically over the 06 model, would be alot easier to deal with as your daily beator, smooth and refined!
