Two BMW f650s for sale - $3000 each

We have two BMW f650s for sale - $3000 each

    1997 BMW f650 ST
18” front wheel replaced with 19”
    55,000 miles

    2000 BMW f650 Funduro
    62,000 miles

We bought these bikes in the UK and rode them to NZ in 2004 / 05. On arrival, we imported them into NZ and they have been sitting in storage since then as we returned to the UK.

We’re doing some work on them to get them ready for WoFs and MR2 certificates so they can be registered in NZ and want to sell them before we go back to the UK (again!) (We are currently in Wellington) We’re waiting for parts to arrive, so they are not currently rideable.

Aesthetically, after travelling the 70,000km overland, these bikes are in average condition but are still good solid bikes.

I've posted in here because they aren't quite ready to go yet (hope that's ok!), but once the parts arrive and we get them back together and road legal, we will advertise them in the bike trader section with photos etc… If you are interested now though, please PM me and I will send you contact details and we can answer any questions you may have.

Hey people, the 2000 has been sold but we still have the 1997 that needs a new home. Since posting this a month ago, we have been through the vehicle compliance process and all that is needed is for us to front up with the dosh for registration and we will be handed over the new number plate. (We figured we'd wait to pay for rego until it is sold just in case it ends up sitting in the garage!)

With bike compliance you need to provide a "brake test" that has been completed by a motorcycle dealer. This is because of the Chinese bikes coming in to NZ with substandard brakes.... we ended up replacing the front and rear discs on ours because of this at $500 per bike, so you'd be getting a bargain if you bought this one!

Hubby is an ex motorbike mechanic, so did a service on the bike after we removed it from storage.
He cleaned the carbs out, did the valve clearances, new spark plugs, oil and filter change - The bike has a new battery, new fuel, new brake discs and pads, new forks and seals, good tyres, good chain and sprockets etc etc.

Please PM me if you'd like to know anything else about it!
