As has been said, Kiwibike insurance. Dave has been great with both my bikes & i highly reccomend him. He got me an awesome deal on my Fireblade.
+1 and -1 for Vero.
+1 They are very good with the claims process.............
- 1 When they are open.
Their claims department are'nt open on the weekend, so you may be stuck until Monday if you do'nt have a balance on the credit card and you are out of town.
House insurance is still with them, but I changed the bike insurance so I know I can get assistance if I break down on a weekend ride. I'm not keen to sleep on the side of the road for two days, or three if it's a long weekend..... (Should I not have enough spare on the credit card if I break down/crash far from home) and that's not exactly an unlikely scenario.
Made two claims with vero.
A claim for the house, and it was handled superbly, I cannot commend them enough.
The claim on a car, well, broken into and the ignitioin barrel fucked, car could'nt be locked or started.
Rang up and asked what the hell we were supposed to do had we been away/out of town, when we have to wait until Monday to claim. The lady I spoke with did'nt have a clue. (She was very nice and professional but could'nt help at all)
I later found out we could have had it repaired and claimed for the repair on the Monday. I only found this out after a bit of email back and forth when I told then why I was cancelling vehicle insurance with them.....

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.
I called AMI who don't understand bike insurance, so I hung up.
I would have called Vero next, but life's too short. They don't make it easy.
I was going to call Mr Baker's lot but after Kiwibike found a policy, nuff sedd.
Crikey!! Im with kiwi bike and that is about what i pay each bike. You must have done some great deal...mine are 12k each ...less than 5k/year each $500 excess. I am an old prick and have no accident police record......I'lll have to give Dave a call..plus in alarmed garage etc etc
may get bagged out but did my insurance with state insurance and costs me $500.88 for full insurance on a 1000 cc aprilia $9000.00.
Never had a claim but policy looks okay.
I know Kiwibike have an extra 15% discount for a <5000km annual restriction. I've forgotten the name of the firm they placed the business with, but there are no restrictions and no pre-requisites. They didn't even want to know about my 130km ping last year OR my security.
It could be something to do with being over 45![]()
Kiwibike for sure.
