Iwant to get some photo done too but it rains........dont want to see the gray sky/back ground !!
I had a littil problem start up my VTR this morning..
did ask a friend who is a car mechnic he told me to use car battery (its a 12V battery on my VTR) to jump start so i did.. and let it run for 5~10min then stop the engine and try to start again but it wont... so i try again .... then it stop again .... so i start again with jump leads then decide to took it for a ride ......so i ride about half hour back to my garge and stop the engine then start again and it works ....
Is it because the battery getting old or i did something wrong?? it does have some white powder thing on the positive side of the battery... i have clean it out b4 i try jump start.....
White powder is a acid so use hot water to remove it..... sounds like the batt is nackered, time for a new one but 1st put it on a charger over night.... might just need a tickle up.

Just bump start the beeagr, that's what I do with mine when shes a bit narky. No fancy electronic ignition or other gizmos on the VTR, just carbs and a spark plug (two, actually).Originally Posted by johnny
