Looking for Solex 5000 moped to check out in Christchurch

Am fixing a solex 5000 moped and I believe the fuel pump or the carb is reason it won't run. Looking for one to borrow to see if I can get it too work
    Thanks

velocruz in the states do all the parts and not too expensive.http://www.velocruz.com/
The fuel pump has some very small balls in it for non return valves and these may be missing or stuck.
I know this as I have a pump with one missing .....
They live under the threaded fuel inlet/outlets.
Get some exploded diagrams and have a look.
Apparently you can use the one out of a parker pen ink refill...
there are a couple of really indepth sites on these bikes.....one has pages and pages of notes...in English....can't recall as I've lost interest after the fuel pump problem.
Does that place down Manchester street do tyres for them?
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

The workshop manual and parts list are available on line and I may have a copy somewhere. The Cycle Trading Company used to be the agents years ago in chch - you could ask them if they are still around but I suspect that is long in the past.
    I have a 5000, 3800 and a 2600 waiting for me to win lotto ..
