    ATTACK OF THE CLONES- CRF450r

well - 4 years ago I stuck my neck out and bought 5 CRF230 Chinese clones for $2300 each brand spanking!- They have been superbly reliable and few people have questioned their heritage
search my early threads on here...

Now- just released by the same company, Jailing Industries in China are CRF450r and x clones
they are being marketed in Australia by www.odesracing.com
the R is sold at Au$6995 inc GST

looks short in the swingarm, but could be just the angle of the photo,

it would be a braver man than me to jump something big first on one

Much more likely a typo seeing as every single component seems interchangable.- elsewhere they are selling CRF parts- everything available.

My Dad said back in 1979 that these japanese cars wouldnt stand the test of time.- he was right , but we still buy them dont we?
He has driven nothing other than Toyota since 1983....

Those of you old enough will remember the scorn and derision that was poured on the early attempts at making motorcycles by the Japanese....
Also, it was only a few years ago that Korean product (cars & motorcycles) were considered in the same light as current Chinese profferings - plenty of KB'ers will attest to the good points of Hyosung ownership as no doubt would plenty of Hyundai, Kia and Daewoo car owners. The Korean products while not quite up with the Japanese are arguably very close and getting closer very year.

does it still make you gay? re (Honda clone) would be an OK bike for me, as a trail rider, but If I were a racer Id go with the real Honda.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Notice how they always copy hondas at least they picked the best bike to copy cleaver buggers those chinese.

Still wouldnt trust it 80ft flat land and it would fold. My CRF hasnt yet. Plus if they are like the companys that make chinese RC cars then the alloy they use is like plastic.
