We got hit just after 5 in the wairarapa, and this dumb arse rode through it. Should have waited for an extra half hour, passed thru pretty quick. Calm as now.
Had to slow down to dodge the tree branches and shit being blown across the road. Not much fun and i was on 300 kgs of bike.

that scooter must have a wind cheating design, very aerodynamic. Tested in the wind tunnels of Europe.
Or maybe he just parked it strategically.

I notice the Honda Vtr is also still standing. I have found that the fully faired bikes are blown about alot more in cross winds than the naked ones.

    Yep, heard that Bald Eagle,
I was riding up the road from Cobham Drive roundabout towards the airport when it hit. My thruxton is about 190kgs... and it was blowing round like a skinny dude on a scooter - seriously challenging, I actually pulled into a side road by the service stations at the Airport roundabout and sheltered behind a van for about 15 mins until it eased up a bit.

Saw the dude with the cafe' racer with the cover always on it just before the Seatoun tunnel. Sorry mate (if you are K-biker), saw your bike on the ground. But due to the serious nature of the wind, I actually did think to myself it's better if it only blows over once. Hope not too much damage mate.
I don't need to sell my soul, he's already in me.
