Got home after this ride to discover my number plate had disappeared....along with my WOF! I suppose they can issue duplicate coppies of both?

The procedure is this for any poor sod who looses their number plate....
1. don't go to the post office....they will tell you to go the AA
2. dont go to the motorcycle shop to get a duplicate WOF untill you have your new plate from the AA
3. go to the AA fill out lost or stolen plate form....wait....wait....go to counter get new plate and rego...cos your existing regi slip will have the wrong number on it
4. go to motorcycle shop and get new wof - have free hot dog while there as its the Xmas doo! and druel over new 2011 CRF250 still in packing crate...awsome...did't know they come with a steering damper from stock....learn something new every day!
5. don't forget to also get a new WOF holder to attach to your new number plate
6. go get the wof holder that you forgot to get
7. fit new plate and rego to motorcycle
8. then decide to rearrange the rear end and put new indicators on that have been in the shed for 6 months
9. mate turns up so no work gets done

Bollocks, get of your arse and go get it
Hi Skippy, not sure where this fairing was purchased but it looks like a Rally Management Systems fairing...you can find them here..http://www.rallymanagementservices.com/ or you could try Alberto Dottori's site http://www.albertodottori.net/
hope this helps
Looks like the bike everyone wanted might be getting made.
The new Adventure series is supposed to have modular construction, and will see a variety of displacements reside in the same chassis. According to Nieuwsmotor we can expect to see 1,200cc, 1,000cc, and 700cc/800cc models from KTM in this department, but were not sure how a 1,000cc would differentiate itself from a 1,200cc machine and what we assume will be an 800cc model to compete with the F800GS and Triumph Tiger 800.

Ooooo. Rumours and gossip. The current line up of rally and ex rally bikes (450 rally, 690 Rally and 950 rall/Adv) all use a space frame with pannier style tanks etc and clearly in a bunch of motor sizes. Seems like the idea of modular system would not be that hard to achieve then. The lineage for the 1000/1200cc motor is pretty easy to see but I wonder where the 800 is comming from.
I like the talk of the 800 being very off road capable but I'll believe it when I see it. Most of the new bike released lately that have off road herirtage i.e. Tranny and S10 have fallen well short of being as off road capable as their predicessors. Also being more off road capable than the new XC doesn't seem like a tall ask and still doesn't mean as off road capable as a 690E with a fairing.
Cheers R

I am not sure which I would prefer.
Option 1: 450cc Rallye style.
Option 2: 700cc single (basically a ported LC4 690 engine).
Option 3: 700/800cc twin
All with a 20+ litre tank and decent level of wind protection/faring.
The more modular system sounds like it could handle it, after all they got a 450cc engine into the 690 frame, so why not a 800cc twin? Oh wait, that is a bit different.
I can't wait to see how they manage it.
Getting both would be too much to ask, but shall be interesting to see what happens.
