Apparently one of the stator wires (negative I think) has burnt out, so that needs replacing and blow me down if the ktm oem part is no the cheapest option available (who would have guessed its cheaper than getting the current one re-wired). But shit me, usual ktm story, $170 USD part = $350nzd. *le sigh*

And of course comes ex austria, so could be flipping ages before it arrives.
Bad luck Chris. Maybe theres someone in here who has a contact in the states who you can use to forward one through KTM twins? Might not be cheaper but you will get it way quicker than KTM NZ can deliver it.
    ....wherezz that track go

Just use a shipping forwarder like comgateway or the NZ post one. You'd probably land it for about NZ$250. I always do the numbers on pricier stuff, especially if it's not stocked in NZ. The local KTM importer has the option of making some money off me, or none at all, frequently they choose to make none at all by pricing stupidly higher than the US.

    Cheers

Similar story Chris, the Adventure died on me back in late Nov and I took it down to Palmy to get rebuilt well its the end of Feb now and I just got her back, apparently the other side of the world is a long way away oh and expensive $3,267. But in saying that they have given me a 6 month warranty because I used genuine parts if anything was to go wrong they would replace the lot.

+ lots, though for me a big bugbear with KTM was the delivery timelines.
