PS Everybody seems to be busy adventurising their enduros, but since I started with a factory-built adventure bike, I'm busy enduroising it!!

I love it. Heaps of grunt, reliable as anything, feels lighter than it is and makes me a better rider i.e. point it at something and go. There seems to be a few people in the states that have had problems with the fuel system, either the pump or FI but I haven't so cannot comment.

I'm taking it on a 10000k desert trip on August so I'm stripping and loctiting this weekend. With the no subframe it's interesting tryiing to get 30 litres of fuel on the back. Other than that I reckon she'll be fine.

I got a chance to ride one back to back with my 625 a while ago.
When I finally got the chip on the right setting I was well impressed.
It was like the SXC, but 10% betterer...

Just got back from 4hr ride to Whangaehu and back via poriri aromawana black head beaches, gravel & seal to parongahu and whangaehu beach and back! Fantastic riden....days like today are custom made for riiden an adventurised ktm 690....man I love my bike! There were even grey seals on the beaches who undoubtably were there to catch a glimsp of a KTM riding by on the beach...popping the odd wheelie, drifting in the sand, doing the odd donut...magic!!
