No more electrical issues with the bike then, I presume?

Actually yes i have. Drove them in the early 80's when i was living in Brisbane. They call them a Butter Box. Hot as shit inside and oh yea...when the motor goes bang the smoke plumes come through the internal bonnet and fill the cab to the point where you can't see shit.

Yes, I got it. Just checking that it was the ultimate fix and that there have been no reoccurrances.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

Youre right Nordie, the Cat is a pain in the arse; it rides like a dray hopping over even the small rocks in its path!

    Almost there!

I got outta 'jail' on sunday 30 May....wot a feeling to ride down the drive of the 'Lort Heights correctional facility' on my bike and without the rest of the chain gang!
I had big plans, as I often do, but once on the hiway I found no desire to explore so headed straight to Kalgoorlie for the nite.
    Dead.
Thats wot Kal is on any sunday, just plain dead.
The Hannan Hotel had cold beer, a room and some fellow bikers to yarn with...fantastic!

    Well....almost almost!

'Spose I shouldda mentioned that Paddy Hannan was the first to discover gold at Kalgoorlie? Hotel was named after him I guess?
There was 250 pubs at its height. There are now about 20. Brothels are down to 2 from about 120!!

I was only there for a mine tour. Ok, so I like stareing down big holes......wot of it? I don't smoke.

The KCGM Fimiston site to be exact, good tour, interesting details which I forget the details of right now. Suffice to say that at 500m deep, they are still bringing up wood and rail iron of the origional miners, and will do so for another 700m and about 6km!

The original miners must have worked it for a fair while?

Dunno how long you are over there for but are you aware of the Border Run, held every year, 1st full weekend in August so this year that's 7/8 August at Border Village on the SA/WA border.

Im home already!! But will be back there late September with SWMBO to tour east to Brizzy. Thanks for the suggestion, but not sure I would bother with a run to the Border village just to drink copious piss then ride back again?
