You are dead on BMWRSNUT I have ordered a new one with 2wheel drive.
Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"

Yeah what would you know lol? Michael and Suzuki would be flattered with you calling his Suzuki GT750 origin front disc brakes Brembos.

    1) Railway Carriages
2, 3 & 4) On the final pre-ride we got caught in a big storm that hit Wellington. It bought Power lines down over the road and we had to wind our way through fallen trees and ride over the lines to get out.

Near where that last pic was taken. I thought I was doing so well on my knobbly-shod KLR when I came upon this dude on a Gilera Saturno cafe racer, street tyres, clip on bars, full fairing, etc. Kinda took the gloss of my efforts up to that point.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Pete you'll see him in the fourth pic of this post http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...post1129690744 of mine above as we were about to enter Terawhiti - I didn't realise he had kept going on the ride as I never saw him again.
    Cheers

I understand he was helping 4skins with gates as such skipping bits to get quick to the other gates. I don't think he did off road parts ... although can be proven wrong

Great photo on the front page of the Dompost showing Terawhiti windmills - you (well me, anyway) don't realise how much land is out that way, and how rugged it is, until you can see it all in one hit.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Its interesting flying into Wellington at night these days from Auckland too when you go the long way around to land from the South and you see all those windmill towers with their marker lights on.
    Cheers

And you can see the windmills from Paraparaumu Beach on a clear day. Looks like you guys had a good day - shame I couldnt make it this year. Looks like you covered a lot of the same ground as the time before. Good pics - cheers Merv and co.

A couple of short vids of JunkManJoe at the Capital Coast Adventure ride.

This was taken using my digital camera and I've got 2 1/2 hours of helmet cam footage to work through yet.
