Wellington wind - bikes down on corner of Featherston Street and Waring Taylor Street

    Hi folks,

Just a heads up that 5 scooters and a bike have been blown over this morning at the bike parks on the corner of Featherston Street and Waring Taylor Street.

It's pretty exposed there and it looks like a bit of scooter dominoes has caused some carnage.

    Mike

I park on the other side and always make a point of pointing my bike into the wind as much as possible in windy Wellington days

I reckon! Asides from the damn wind, Wellington during the day has more weirdos out and about during the day than K'rd at 0200!
Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

... all of which raises a question in my mind - is it better to have the bike on the centre stand when you are parked side on to the wind?

Your Bandit...I would. Some lighter bikes might be better off on the ss, opposite side to the way it's blowing.
