    Northcross - Driver Testing Centre

    Hello,

I booked my practical test for my restricted license online at the following location:

    Test location:
    Northcross - Driver Testing Centre
East Coast Bays AFC Bay City Park - Andersons Road
    BROWNS BAY AUCKLAND

I didn't manage to find an address for this location, would somebody be so kind to point me to the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

Drive along East Coast Road , left into Andersons Rd that is if you are coming from Greville Road exit. It is the street just past the vets, almost opposite Jonh Downs Drive.

    EDIT:

Thanks for that, found Andersons Rd on Google maps (coming from East Coast Rd) but I checked street view and it looks like a residential road?
This is why I thought I might have it wrong and they don't give a number on Andersons Rd.

    Thanks.

It's inside the football club. Walk right up the top of the stairs and there is a waiting area.
I waited in the carpark for about 15 minutes before I decided to go for a wander...
It said reporting time was 30 minutes before but the testers were standing around chatting until bang on testing time.

For the restricted test the guy took me up north, up and down a few cul-de-sacs before hopping on the motorway at oteha valley onramp, headed south (at 70kph) and got off at Greville road and headed back to the start.

    Hope this helps.

I did both the restricted and full tests there too. Both instances saw me riding around Browns Bay and a few of the back streets before heading up East Coast Road and back.

    Good luck by the way.

I did my restricted and full license there. Make sure you don't ride too slow - my speedo was wrong and I got a bollocking for riding at 45km. I would do a practice ride getting there, so you know exactly where you are going, and the driveway there is weird - short but steep. Practice your slow speed u-turns as they take you in a lot of dead end roads and get you to turn around at the end.
    Good luck

Oh yeah, they take you on the motorway where you have to ride at 100km, even though you are only meant to do 70km on a learners. They didn't tell me I had to do 100km and this was marked against me. Clarify this first.

They 'used' to, but more often than not it breaks/fails. So I wouldn't be suprised if they have ditched it by now.

Up north a bit, onto the motorway at oteha valley, off at greville and then back to base.
