Trumpy down

Friday night on the way home from work, stopped at a pedestrian crossing to let someone cross.
Person was half way across when I suddenly find my front wheel in the air, and me flying forward. Managed to stay on right still the front came back down, but I think the rear was somehow hooked on the front of the car, so found myself hitting the deck and rolling into the gutter

No injuries, bike looks like it came off lightly too ... I think the rear wheel took most of the hit, chain went a bit slack as a result... broken indicators and a marked engine case.

Fuckwit was out of the car appologising/cowering before I was standing - admitting his guilt, but ffs ... only picked the damn thing up the night before after having some dyno work done to it.

Lots of bystanders - regret not giving him a hiding now

Insurance will sort out in the coming week.

It's good to hear you're OK. Too many dickheads on the roads who don't pay attention to where they're going these days.

that sucks arse. I'd be insisting to your insurers that the thng be checked for alignment: might have bent the subframe or the swingarm or shock or something. His insurers will be paying. Did the po po attend?

typical friday in-a-hurry-traffic. Had myself a smash in the side of my car on Friday arvo as well.

Glad you're not hurt. You can't really go bash the guy when he admits liability and apoligises - was he textng? Bit of buggar seeing you're just pcked it up and it's been such a lovely weekend to go for a ride.

Maybe next weekend you can get out there.

Youre right, just all said out of frustration at the moment

Police did turn up, she basicly just said ... "If you both in agreement as to who was at fault, ill bugger off now unless you specificlly want to press charges"

Which was fair enough, was pretty much all sorted anyway. Always handy when you have a bystander there whos dealt with these situations before, and gotten all the information down for everyone

nice to have it all done and dusted with no hassle. The guy that smashed into my parked car waited about 15 minutes for me to show up and apoligise and give me his details. I laughed at him, he did what I do and he wasn't even blonde. Insurance is sorted with one phone call, now to take the car to be straightened.

so how long before you're back on the road then?

Glad you are allright though - that is the main thing.

Let us know how it goes with the insurance. I have a spare chain and sprockets hanging around if yours got damaged. Sounds more likely that your rear wheel will be munted though (maybe time for some carbon lightweight ones?). Also, hope your new leo vinces didn't get damaged. If they did then yes you should have belted the chap.

Any idea how long these things take? im thinking atleast 6 weeks?

Must say the striple crashes remarkably well! As I say, damage looks minimal ... at this stage. The leo vince cans are fine

not a scratch, that was the first thing I checked!
