I'm proud with the fact that the cable I laid this morning took 5 full flushes until it disappeared away into oblivion...

Im sorry but 5 is a good effort - but nothing to be proud of. You have to make double digits and need a jinsu knife to cut the bugger into pieces.

I'm proud that I did'nt turn out like this........

Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

I'm proud of my Bride who is now wheelchair bound and in agony every day awaiting an operation to sort out her spine, she is depressed, incapacitated and helpless, driven to tears most days with the pain and frustration. Her courage against all the odds though is inspiring, the pain alone would make a lesser person (me) just give up, but she just gets on and does whatever she can and I am justifiably very very proud of my lady.

My kids do me proud year on year, not because of the jobs that they do or the wealth they've acquired but simply because they have turned out to be decent loving Human beings when it's so darned easy not to be, especially being disadvantaged by having me as their Dad Bless 'em.

Finally, and not quite so cornily, I'm very proud to be the owner of a shiny new Harley and a GSX1400...oh yeah!
    Oh bugger

This is the most important part of life on earth. Our parents gave us a much better life then they had,and their's before them...etc.We can only hope our own children appreciate the life we give them.Of course I'm giving my children a better life than I had....it's part of the growth of humanity..

For you two, and quite a few others, that have sent kind messages for the Bride and I...many many thanks, we read them together and had a hug, wandering hands does not constitute a hug though apparently so I am back in the dog house Cheers guys 'twas nice to see her smile.

I'm not. Don't want to spoil the buggers.

Some where along the way the word pride changed to Proud.

    Proud: to be Maori'

    Pride: myself
1 at getting this far in life ( age thing)
2 having never been, on any form of benefit
3 having not been in serious trouble with the law or been in jail
4 in having done a good job with my kids and step kids, and now my grand kids.
5 only ever been interested in sex with the opposite sex (women)
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
