    Agree with Padmei by the way, I thought the idea of forums on KB was to help stop re-inventing the wheel, and tap into the knowledge of those who might have travelled along that road before... Even if I'm not the best Googler/Search monkey in the world

    It's the "strong" velcro. Kinda like little plastic mushrooms that form an interference fit. Much stronger than the regular hooks 'n' loops velcro. Often used for mtb helmet lights, helmet cams etc. Anything that needs to break loose on impact but be held fairly securely.
