    You evade my point.

If there is an offence - mail him the notice.

If there is no offence, fuck off.

If you even think he might be pissed why would you chase him at speed?

Dispense with the smartarse reply and lets hear some logic.

If you knew anything at all about how the legal system works you would realise the difficulties this would bring to a crucial element in any prosecution...identification of the driver.

    OK, another smartarse reply.

How do the cops KNOW who is driving?

You'll have to use more subtle trolls than that matey....

They have adequate measures in place to find out the driver of a car. If they were not adequate, why did they put them in place?

They DON'T. But to them, if they suspect the driver is pissed - it seems worthwhile chasing them at high speeds to find out. Spot the error?

You're right, far better for the cops to turn off down a side street and let the suspected driver disappear into the distance......

Police officer ( I use that term loosely) publicly thinks the death of a motorist is a good ending.
In comments on a bikers forum a police officer implies a motorist who failed to stop - deserved to die.............. he made further derogatory comments ........... has been stood down from active duty pending a full investigation .....................

I thought you public servants weren't allowed to make comments like you are scumdog? Let alone start the thread, aren't there rules about that?

This is a rare case where the offender was killed rather than the victims he crashed into. Nothing to cheer about either way and while one may have little sympathy for the offender it is a sad truth that these "types" rarely rehabilitate and continue to drink and drive until they are stopped.

No-one can know the full facts of this particular case, and no-one knows the nature and background of the offender until it comes out on the news. The facts that are known is that this is far too common an offense and until these kids are forced to face reality this tyoe of offending will continue to go on.

Sadly, too, the next time it may be the victims who die or are horribly injured as is too often the case. Scummy and like see it every day and have naturally become cynical. Those who want to criticise him should spend a week in the patrol car with him, then criticise...

The police exist for the protection of citizens doesn't it?
If they think that a car crash involving 6 innocent citizens is a good outcome then I think they need a break.

It was only on one point and I don't know about Scummy but the thought of us sharing a room does nothing for my digestion.

No. Far from it. The police exist to try to catch people who have broken the law.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

I think of you re-read his post he was more of the opinion that the "right" person died in this accident rather than the victims. I'm sure Scummy wouldn't be happy with any accident causing death or injury, but of course he's old enough and ugly enough to defend and explain himself on here...
