Hey Helen, by "stolen to order" are they implying you purchased the bike with the intent to do insurance fraud by having it stolen then claiming on the insurance??
Get your ass-cessor (note spelling is deliberate) to give me a call if he has concerns. I can verify for him your riding skill level and sams competance as well.
At the risk of offending some people...... Swann..... pffft.

    Thanks Ian...

Once the "ass-cessor" had meet & talked to me,then gone to Sams flat & talked to him,he realised we are OK!
So all sorted now and Sam brought another XR at the weekend

Not impressed with the young man from Swann that I had dealings with....

Good to hear it's all sorted, and there is a new toy for you Sam to play with.

Good news, its a real shame the thieves have not been located and dealt with but given our current justice system it would be better if they fell off and injured themselves in a horrific manner as their chances of getting of with a slap on the wrist is very high.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

How about wiring 20,000v up to it? Just don't go out early in the morning to move the bike, you might forget lol.

When Mrs Oakie had her bike stolen a couple of years back the 'guy from Swann' was actually a local private investigator who they retain. I guess that is why there is an emphasis on the possibility of dirty dealings because that's what he is used to doing rather than being a sympathetic insurance rep. Overall we were happy with Swann. I think it was a month from the bike being stolen to wheeling the new one out of Ian's shop.

Thats so what I thought when I heard that too!

So ran the Police, and was told we would have been informed if it was our XR,but it was Saturday morning and all she did was check the database where its still listed as stolen

But Im still half wondering if it was Sams .....
