    Just got some proper gear

All from 1tonne, seems to be great stuff. Great service and fast delivery too Proper pants do feel a lot better on the bike than jeans, especially since they don't constantly try to climb up my legs.

Just one question. How the hell do you guys shift in these race-type boots? Downshifting is alright, but it takes a herculean effort to get the boot under the shifter. Evidently, I need to bulk up my calves and ankles

Great to hear- safety comes first..

After I got my two piece suit (so I could do track days and advanced rider courses and for weekend rides), I felt naked riding to work in my work pants and jacket only, so I figured what the hell and started wearing it for commuting too.

If others think its overkill, well, fuggem...

I'll give that a shot. Have to wait til I get back to Hastings this weekend... only have the Hyosung toolkit with me at the moment, and the 10mm looks like it wants to round the bolt off, so I'll have to try a 9.
