Mr Motorcycles Waikaretu ride Sunday 28 March

    Evening all,

Suprised this hasn't popped up yet. Quite excited about this ride as I haven't been out to Waikaretu in about ten years. Used to get down there to the Whitfords farm when we terrorised cattle on our way down to the beach.

I'm heading down with 3 mates on their CRF250X's so well and truly flying the Honda flag.

Any tips for this single loop ride?

you boys are getting quicker and quicker,

its a different type of ride, not as much riding but take your time, enjoy the sites,

we go into whitfords place right off the beach in the afternoon

map on how to get there, you need to be there on time, or you miss the first part,

What time does it kick off? Certainly don't want to be left behind on this ride! Will make sure I'm there with plenty of time up the sleeve to organise everything.

Yep will duct tape my triangle stand to my fuel tank so I can find it easily and can stand my bike up during the break. I rarely eat on rides as I hate having a fuel stomach bouncing around.

The best tip for these rides is to make your fuel can look as unique as possible...500+ red fuel cans in 3 different trucks doesn't make it easy to find yours

yep very Duh moment ?? How did I get that so wrong! Post deleted LOL!!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

yep mine will be the red one, so every one else has to choose a different color, fuel container.

Not long now, only thing to left do is personalise the fuel can.

Have added another bike to the ranks so the ute/trailer will have a total of 5 CRFs shoe-horned on!
