Hampton Downs - a great place to watch racing

Went to watch the NZ superbikes there yesterday and I thought the circuit was superb for watching bike racing... OK so the place is still like a bloody building site and the food and drinks facilities were pathetically inadequate but that will be fixed hopefully. The viewing from several points on the circuit was excellent I thought.

$28 for four beers which I replied:
Just the 4 beers love, not the whole box

they need shade more than anything else for spectators I reckon

Racing was good on the new circuit and the views were good for me as a spectator but alas the food was way over priced and less than ok, along with the queues being as long as the pit lane and the beer was.....wallet is now empty.
Overview for the day....Pretty good to see good crowd numbers and the track is great. Bit of polishing here and there should be all good.

I agree, it was a nice suprise to find so many great viewing points. I just hope they don't stuff it up by blocking any of the vistas in the future with advertising billboards . But yeah, great track, easy accsess and lots of parking for bikes. $20 was a reasonable price for a great day out and meant that I could afford to bring half the tribe down with me as well. Potentially 10 out of 10.

I think one of the sidecars self destructed at turn 3.... left some oil on the track...
