    Speed Triple?

I have a Motard now which isnt really doing it for me on the road its a great bike but not what im wanting at this point, I need something better for touring also occasional two up touring so to start the process Last week I rode a ZX14 a Hyabusa and (to make sure im over hi performance Sports machines ) a GSXR1000 ...............none of them really did it for me, all to fast and the big 14 hundys to heavy !!

Where Im at right now (thanks frenchy for sowing the seed) is Im thinking hard out about a triple 1050, but I a couple of questions, Im sure lots of you have these cool bikes so IM keen to get you views on them please

also whats you thoughts on these two questions ?
1/ do they still do the 1050?? cant see them on the triumph site
2/ What (in your opinion) do you think they will be like as a two up touring bike (on occasion)

    Cheers !!

    What you think ?
Ive run out of fucks to give

unexpected wheelstands galore, and cramped (but thats on on '07, the later models have a lengthened pillion seat unit)

IMO the S3's a super ride. Light as a feather and great power.

You can go 2-up but it will turn a great ride into a chore.

Get a Tiger! Same engine that you can tune it upto S3 power (almost) and there's loads of comfy space for 2-up.

Little bit grasshopper styles for the pillion, Not a worry unless hips are a bit dodgy !
Buy a radar detector, comfortable at 130 k, under that your on your wrists (not as bad a a true sprot bike)
Power to wieght that of a gixxer 600 or sim !
Double as a clubmans race bike with a couple of mods ! (but then anything can)

Funnily enough Heidi is making strange noises, that she feels safer on the triple than she does on the Harley at somewhat lesser speeds ! (define somewhat ?)

Oh and unless you want to put an unsightly ventura rack on the triple your wearin what ya take !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Aha - You can get a 2010 SE model signed by John Bloor:

So the 1050 must still be current.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I've carted Mrs Headbanger around on mine, absolutely zero adverse effects, or at least none that mattered, certainly nothing unexpected.. She reckons she had the same level of comfort as she did on the H-D, however I am large and she is tiny. Never done huge miles with her on the bike either.

Found the bike to be the most comfortable I have ridden, The seating position fits me like a glove, and that gel seat is like having your buttocks cradled by god. Seriously, I spent about 13 hours on the bike yesterday and while I was exhausted I still felt pretty good.

I fit a tail bag to the pillion seat when doing longer trips.

Mine is the 15th Anniversary model, Identical to the one linked to on trademe earlier in the thread.

This is the only model which has the gel seat so I can't comment on the normal seating arrangement.

'08 up have longer seat unit, and different wheels, brakes, forks, tailight, and fat bars.
