Ive run out of fucks to give
Jrandom is a good one to talk to about with the gsx14 he pretty much took his to its limits on the track !
Good price !!
I have to say i don't have any issues with the standard suspension, sure i have the comp and rebound near maxed out for the track but at 100 kg with gear on i have the sags spot on ! Might be a bit harsh on the road, but i like it rough !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
The standard suspension setup makes people think the bike is not up to hard tight twisties and is inclined to make the bike "wobble" on high speed sweepers.
Nothing wrong with the standard suspension but once the right settings are dialled in you have a bike that will hold it's own against most other bikes out there even considering the weight.
I've written heaps of reviews on the GSX1400 over the years and are on my second and I can't find a better all around bike.
Fastest 0-100kmh of any bike out there and will top 260kmh in the right conditions.
I've ridden it track and often to it's limit and it goes very well.

I don't know if you are cool enough to own a Speed Triple Quasi.
Hey Brett,
You are more than welcome to catch up with me and take the 1400 for a test run. I'm happy to swap for a ride so you get the hang of the 14. I have a Scorpion 4 into 1 which sounds nice but other than me dialling in the right settings on the suspenders she is stock standard. I'll give you a couple of tips to get around the slight ground clearance issues and I reckon you will have a ball mate. Oh, 11 litres of underseat storage as well. I've gone away wekends with no back pack needed at all
Give me a PM if you are keen. I reckon you'll love and once bitten you won't bother looking at anything else.
Course, I know you can ride but you break it you pay. BUT.... send me licence details if you go ahead with my offer and I can arrange cover... you pay excess only "IF" you find the power too much
Cheers
Paul

hahah
I, on the other hand...think of it this way Quasi, if you get a Speed, even though you're not cool enough, I can ride it for you since I tricked them into letting me into the Trumpet club. They asked for my membership card back but I just told them I can't find it...suckers.
I was gonna say, if you were buying new make sure you buy off the floor. Triumph SUCK for bringing in stock (5 months waiting and counting). But since you're buying pre-loved you don't have a problem.
For those that have mentioned the cockpit's cramped, how do they compare with the Stripple? Just wondering.
GSX1400 is a good all rounder fo sho. It doesn't stunt as well as a S3, but it has advantages if a passenger is a consideration and the good things that Suzuki do.
Speed Triple has what I consider to be the best standard engine fitted in a road bike. Ever.
The low down torque of a large vee-twin and the free revving power of an in-line four - in one box. It's the sweetest unit for road and street use I've tested.

but if thats not road enough for you
My next ride would probably be an FZ1 - lovely power and handling, not in that sport bike position or mindset, comfortable, affordable and by all accounts behave well two up
