    Scumdog's only an hour away.

He'd be able to teach how to best protect your home, attach tassels to a jacket and ride a Skirtster like it's meant to be ridden.

He'd be the man for the job allright.

And how to avoid tickets, drink copious amounts of expensive whisky and talk shit. ( yep, got a black-belt ranking on that last one for sure.)

Seriously, I suggest he join Otago B.R.O.N.Z., they are quite active (over a 100 members from memory) and they will have an experienced member who is a whole lot handier than my address.

And a bit warmer for them too - got a beautiful clear day here this morning - shame about the 5 degree frost. (but hey, it's better than the rain some of you up north are getting.)

Scumdog, I used to be from down your way - Tapanui in fact. Some great rides through to central from your way especially the Manuka Gorge

I'm not really one to teach as I'm still learning.

However if he does want a buddy to travel with him down to visit scumdog, and one that can patch a bit of leather.. pass on my details...

As an old fart just back in the saddle after 20 odd years, I'm probably not really qualified to tutor anyone at this stage. But if I can help in any way....

A bit cold down here now though When the going gets tough, the rest of us prefer the cage........

the only time it REALLY sucks is when it starts snowing, or you hit black ice, cause no matter how slow you go your pretty much gauranteed getting the arse out on it, as i found out, and dunedin is pretty hilly so you just have to stop ditch the bike and walk the rest of the way, not fun!

Yep, years ago I lived up the top of Andy Bay, and would ride to work on frosty days at walking pace. When the bike slid out I'd just step off it and let it go. Too old for that crap these days.....
