Yep, the Advrider format is good for posting pics & trip reports, plus it's neat to be able to show the world what we did in the weekend. You upload your pics to a photo hosting site like photobucket or imageshack then write up the report on advrider, pasting in the links to your pics so they appear on the page.
Don't wait for me to start an MMMMM ride report on there though, get into it everybody. It'll probably be Wednesday before Rosie & I get sufficiently organised to post up our pics & being lead/sweep we missed a lot of the action anyway.
Cheers
Clint
I just passed a familiar looking red honda a few k's north of Dannevirke. Ran out of gas apparently.![]()

I got home about 3 hours ago after a round trip of just over 1800km, was good to visit some areas that I hadn't been through before. Whats more I didn't have to get the rain gear out once. I'll post some pics up tomorrow night probably.
Great ride ride thanks for organising it Clint, and Rosie.

Hi Iain, sorry no pictures of Kevin lying next to his BMW, that road was slippery and he went down so quick, he had done a complete 180 spin and was facing meso quickly jumped off and helped him pick it up. Would have been good to ride home with you, as I was riding along I was thinking about were you had got to after Awakeri? Probably couldn't see you at the gas station because of the rain, was that the one on Welcome Bay road?
Cheers
Thanks Clint & Rosie for another great MMMMM ride - special thanks to Rob & Ann Sherman of Journey's End for the their hospitality - enjoyed the ride this year on my Bimmer - great to have big bike friendly rides - highlights for me were the Forest (did it in both directions - very slippery going from Minganui to Rangitaiki on Sunday in the rain), Waikaremoana and the Motu.
Journeyed home from Rangataiki via Westshore where I met up with Howie, AndyMac and Bart. Shared a cabin at Westshore with Howie last night
Great food at the Westshore Pub last night and Groove Espresso Kitchen in Napier this morning.
Rode on parts of the Eastern Coastal route with Howie - on beach from Aramoana to Blackhead with the tide just going out.
Great riding - great company - replete - cheers Aslan![]()
those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind..
Still sorting photos. Here's a couple to get you started.

Here they are...
Had a fab ride down in the sun Friday, arrived at the pub after a short stop to drop gear off at the Rangitaiki Lodge and met Clint outside.
Shortly after this photo was taken (and just as I'd put my camera away darn) there was a gentleman that made a sliding entry to the turn off to the pub. You know who you are, but as there's no evidence it's hearsay right?
The steak dinner at the pub is recommended!
The next morning the frost was so thick, well...it was snow really!
More hardy souls turned up at the pub...
38ish?
And the truly hard souls who stayed at the Pub...
A briefing from Clint and we're off
Not many pics whilst the ride was in progress (hanging on for dear life thats why!) but this first water crossing was fun. Eh Joe.
The stop at Minginui...where I discovered my bike was no longer road worthy...
doh
Some culture...
Then it's off to Lake W...
Not a bad spot for a pie eh
Tiniroto Pub...
Eat your heart out David Attenborough
Journeys End (feck me I thought I'd never get there, thanks Chris and Rosie for the front and rear guard)
The 1 star sleeping option...(she sure was whiffy Trev!)
Many tall tales where told...
And those that managed to keep their peepers open long enough enjoyed the rugby
The next morning an earlyish rise and we're off to Matawai. (Thanks again guys who helped when me chain fell off).
Ah yes, I been waiting for this!
Ok - slight detour, I just have to include this one from last time I was here thinking...I
gotta bring a different bike
Man its gorgeous up that road, I loved it to bits and immediately wanted to turn around and go back at the other end.
The other end - sadly no water but ah well
Last stop Opotiki...
So my lens fell off, me chain fell off...but I didn't woohoo!!! I did have some hairy moments though I must admit. Hey - any Honda offs? Can we claim the category win for no offs can we? can we? can we?
If you're thinking about doing this ride - get the feck on your bike and do it - if I can trundle around it anyone can
Cheers all, you made it a fantastic first adventure ride for this wolfie![]()
